Gimme: Perfume

First off, I wanted to apologize for being MIA this past week!
I'm trying to post every other day, but I've had a crazy past two weeks and I just haven't had the time.

A huge downside to being unemployed and broke is not having the money to buy a new perfume!  Every single perfume I own is empty, and body sprays don't last long enough!  But some here are three that are totally going on my Christmas List, hahah even though Christmas is three months away (I've tried all of these from either samples, past bottles I've owned, or I have a friend that has it)..  I'm in love with Daisy by Marc Jacobs, it's the perfect scent for spring and summer!  When you first spray it, it reminds me of freshly cut grass but sweeter, but the dry down is more musky but still light.  I think the bottle is adorable, it's youthful but not tacky.  Vera Wang's Princess perfume has been a favorite of mine ever since it was first released.  Unfortunately it doesn't last long, but I always receive compliments when I wear it.  It's a sweet and feminine scent, but it's also mature.  You can't really go wrong with this scent, it's absolutely gorgeous.  Lastly, Fame by Lady Gaga!  I love the bottle, and I'm so glad the topper comes off completely, the gold does.  I'm fascinated by the "black" liquid, but it doesn't dry dark and doesn't stain.  I would describe it as a strong apricot smell with some honey, the dry down to me is a ripe-apricot.  It lasts for a while on my skin, I don't know about others.  I love it!

What are your favorite perfumes?

Leather leather leather!!!!  Both leather bottoms and tops are so popular right now, and I need them!  I am in love with this trend because it's so different and adds so much, but yet it's extremely subtle.  I am obsessed with the shorts by Kaelen Paisley because they're so detailed and cute, unfortunately they're EXPENSIVE.  A girl can dream though..  I also love the DVF, Alexander Wang, and Missselfridge bottoms because they're just enough to add an edge.

1. Diane Von Furstenberg - $646

Again, I love these DVF shorts, so I wanted to pair it with a more feminine top by Marni.  I adore this, it's a gorgeous color with the Peter Pan collar, aaaah I cannot get enough of it.  I wanted to keep it edgy by adding the ring and cuff, along with this breath taking Alexander McQueen clutch.  As I've mentioned before, I'm obsessed with Jeffrey Campbell Litas, and these were a perfect addition to the whole edgy vibe.  But I wanted to lighten it up a bit more with this muted yellow nail varnish by Butter London.  I need a fairy godmother to buy me this outfit, I'm in love.

How would you style a leather bottoms?

Gimme: Jeffrey Campbell Litas

1-4.  All are Litas by Jeffrey Campbell

The first time I ever laid my eyes on a pair of Litas was in I believe grade seven, and it was on my Tumblr.  I first saw the solid black leather pair (1) and I've wanted a pair ever since.  They're beautiful and such a statement shoe, but yet they're not too much.  I've heard they're comfortable, but I wouldn't know for sure since I don't own a pair.  I love how you can find a pair in just about any color and style!!  There's such a great variety and each individual style is unique.  They start out at about $160, but you can find them on-sale for about $120 at Urban Outfitters every once in a while.  I plan on purchasing a pair as soon as I graduate, I'm thinking a present to myself hehe.

1. H&M - $49
2. YSL - $1,245
3. Top Shop - $28
4. Jeffrey Campbell Lita - $228
5. Windsor - $13
6. Marc Jacobs - $557
7. Essie: Blues - $8

I fell in love with these Litas instantly!  The detail of the white shoes are just stunning, so I wanted to keep the theme girly and paired it with a lovely H&M dress.  Then decided to add some edge by throwing in a chain necklace and the spiked and skull bangle set.  I adore this clutch by Marc Jacobs and I thought the color combination was perfect, so I chose the vibrant but subtle blue and decided nail varnish was another great way to tie blue into the look!

What do you think of Litas?

If you've been paying any attention to fashion magazines, or tabloids then you know that colored and patterned jeans are huge right now. As you can tell, the top row are all colored jeans and the bottom row are floral patterned jeans. You're able to find both colored and floral jeans just about anywhere right now, and you can't get the for a decent price too. I love both colored and floral, I actually still own colored jeans that I purchased in grade seven when they started to make a comeback, hahah.  I adore the floral jeans, I think that they add such a feminine touch and they give you a lot to work with.  But the colored jeans just add so much color and excitement to any outfit, both are a must have this fall!

I chose to dress around the J Brand vibrant light blue jeans, so I chose a simple Jumper (staple).  I added the Banana Republic deep red handbag to add color to the look, and I also chose the Russian Roulette nail varnish my Essie.  I chose the bow earrings to keep it girly, and the vintage inspired ring to add character.  I ended with the cheetah print loafers (trend) to bring in some 'flava' to the outfit!

1. Allyfashion.com - $25
2. Miso - $41
3. Bottega Veneta - $38
4. Alexander Wang - $985
5. Charlotte Russe - $8.50
6. Jeffery Campbell: Red Wine Suede Litas - $205
7. Deborah Lippmann: Naked - $16

I am in love with these floral print jeans!  I decided to keep it toned down by pairing the jeans with a peter pan collared shirt (trend), I love the detail on the collar!  Then I chose a b-e-a-u-ti-ful Alexander Wang handbag, and a cute chunky chain bracelet (trend).  I wanted a simple nail varnish, so I went with Naked, and then threw in some cute cat eye sunglasses!  Last, but certainly not least, I chose the Jeffery Campbell Red Wine Suede Litas because not only are they gorgeous, but they add so much umph to the look without being too overbearing.

Do you plan on purchasing some funky jeans this fall?

To Live Will Be An Awfully Big Adventure

On Friday, September 14, 2012, my Aunt Sue passed away.  I've lost several important people in my life, and it never gets any easier.  Some of the fondest memories of my Aunt include watching Hook, the Peter Pan movie that has real actors, while playing with her Smurf figurines or Jenga.  She loved the story of Peter Pan, and the movie Hook because it wasn't so childish.  Even my brother Anthony, who is six years older than me shares these same memories of her.  I've decided that in honor of my Aunt, I want a tattoo.  I would love to get it soon, but that costs money that I don't have.  There's a quote in the movie Hook that Peter says, "to live will be an awfully big adventure."  I love that quote so much.  It reminds me of my Aunt because of her love for Hook, and she experienced so many things in her life.  I want it as a tattoo as a constant reminder of her, and that you should live life to the fullest because it is too short.

Although I have what I want done picked out, I still don't know where I want it done..  I adore collarbone tattoos, but I also love shoulder blade tattoos like these:

Pay no attention to the tattoo itself, just the placement.
I can't decide which I prefer, I'm leaning towards the collarbone though!
Now I have to decide on the script and what tattoo shop to go to!

Do you have any tattoos?

Fashion Obsessions: Combat Boots

1. Allsaints.com - $275
2. Dr. Martens - $130
3. Steve Madden -$169
4. Madden Girl - $60

One of my most recent Fashion Obsessions has been combat boots!  I've wanted a pair of Dr. Martens for years, but I'm young and broke so that hasn't happened yet.  Recently I purchased a pair of Madden Girl brown boots from Journeys and I've been wearing them constantly.  I think they're a perfect way to transition into the fall, even though I live in Florida and we don't have fall weather I still rock mine!  The first pair are black and are more military style, I think these are an awesome way to ad an edge to any outfit.  The second pair are floral and bulky, I love these paired with dresses!  They add a masculine feel to a girly outfit.  The third pair are distressed looking with studs, which I LOVE!  Studs are so big right now, and just add so much to a look.  I personally love these with girly outfits as well, since the contrast is so big.  Then the fourth pair are very similar to the pair I own, but mine don't fold down.  These to me look like a mix betweet combat boots and riding boots, so they're not so much a staple.  I really love these with a pair of jeans and a slouchy t-shirt, since the boots make it look like you put more effort into your outfit.  You can get combat boots practically anywhere that sells shoes, and you can wear them with virtually anything and it will look good!  I really don't see these going out of style anytime soon.

1. River Island - $32
2. Sheinside.com - $43
3. Marc By Marc Jacobs - $83
4. Steve Madden - $100

5. Top Shop - $18
6. Rebecca Minkoff - -$295
 7. Butter London: The Full Monty - $14

Now, I wanted to show you an example of how I would style combats boots with a feminine outfit.  I chose a beige rose jumper, I love how it's distressed so it adds a grungy feel to the look.  I paired it with a pair of beige skinny jeans, since I chose a baggy jumper the jeans should be form fitting to balance out the outfit.  I then added a Rebecca Minkoff clutch for a pop of color, as well as a Marc by Marc Jacobs necklace.  I picked Butter London's nail varnish in The Full Monty because it's a gorgeous color and goes with the scheme.  Then I chose this two finger spike ring from Top Shop to bring a more rustic feel to go along with the Steve Madden 'Troopa' Boots, which add a masculine and distressed feel to the overall look.

How would you style a pair of combat boots?
